Pain In Side From Cold Drink Shooting Pain On One Side Of Head/face?

Shooting pain on one side of head/face? - pain in side from cold drink

Make from time to time / stabbing pains in one side of the head. Currently located on the left side. The pain is usually in my head, but may also face and neck. Toca cold face and cold beverages can cause pain. I look like someone who is the syndrome of Gilles de la Tourette, when the pain occurs (if it helps) Has anyone any idea what is it?

  1. Hello Leslie

A sharp pain, followed by "rigidity", followed, and can radiate to the neck halfway up the face? Not all the time, not every day?

At one time, shortly after moving to Southern California, began to develop pain and went crying to my doctor thought I had a brain tumor. "Sinus", he said, caused by Santa Ana winds.

He prescribed a Sudafed decongestant pseudoephedrine. Voila! Two cans and more.

Think about the incidence of pain and things like the wind carry pollen or dust. Perhaps it is a question of moisture. In any case, try an initial decongestant before an MRI or other extreme measures. If you do not seek the answer, tell your doctor. He or she may or may not have an MRI (probably not), but you can order x-rays of the head just in case. Do not be surprised if he / she has a lot of pressure on the bones of the face - "Does it hurt?" - Look for signs that her breasts pressed on the nerves.

And remember to drinkthe water. Sometimes dehydration can cause headaches, but usually not severe pain. Migraine is not caused by cold.

Do not believe the worst until you see the doctor.

    I feel your pain ..

    Me
