I have found in Costa Rica on a cruise for all I know is, I saw only a very small, but it was very hot and humid and it rained. I've seen people walk with black rubber boots because the ground was very wet. I saw wooden houses on stilts, not only because the ground was very wet, but keep the snakes. I saw sloths, monkeys, iguanas, lots of jungle and banana plantations. Must be nice places, but I will look like on a cruise and not about food, entertainment, weather, swimming, safety, etc.

In the Caribbean and Central America? Otherwise, I really recommend the cruise. It is a good way to get an insight into many different ports and decide that you enough to love for a week.
